Workshop Winter 2019 | International Writers’ Collective
January 15 @ 10:00 - March 19 @ 12:00EUR395
Back by popular demand! My second Level I workshop runs from 15 January through 19 March 2019 with a two week hiatus midterm. We’ll be working with fundamental writing techniques like narrator, point of view, tone, mood and description.
This is a workshop where you’ll learn by doing. Each week, I’ll give you a sample text. We’ll talk about the craft techniques buried inside. Your homework will then be to write a two page exercise using those same crafts. At the next class, we’ll discuss your exercise, those written by your fellow students and the new sample text. Rinse and repeat. In the meantime, you’ll be learning to read like a writer and to edit your own work.
Level 1 is for aspiring writers, including those who’ve never before set pen to paper. It can also be useful to experienced writers in search of formal instruction. For fiction writers and poets alike!
We’ll be meeting once a week on Tuesday mornings from 10am to 12pm. We’ll break for the last two weeks of February for the spring school holidays. All classes will be held at Boekhandel van Rossum on the Beethovenstraat.
Please note that advance registration is required. Last time, my class was full and there was a waiting list for more students to enter. I can only take 6-10 students so sign up soon!
